Year 12 students from Health Futures UTC who are currently working towards their Compton Champions Award, visited Compton Hospice earlier today to find out what hospice care is really like.
After touring the hospice facilities the students took the time to talk with staff and volunteers about the impact their work has on the lives of people living with incurable illnesses.
One student commented: "It's not what I expected at all. It's totally different. I thought it would be sad coming here, but instead it is really lovely."
The Health and Social Care students have vowed to become 'Compton Champions' where they commit to raise awareness of the importance of hospice care and also help to raise funds to support our work.
