Rajan Chauhan and Charlotte Grove Year 12 students at Heathpark High School in Wolverhampton received their Compton Champions Awards today for raising a huge £181. Here they tell us how they did it......
"In order to raise money for Compton Hospice, we wanted to do a large sale in school but with a well-known brand name. We settled on Krispy Kreme doughnuts. We knew it would cost a lot to purchase the doughnuts and decided to first do a "pre-fundraiser." For this we arranged ...a 1-100 competition in which participants paid £1 to choose a number and enter in to a draw for a £20 JD voucher.
From the 1-100 competition we were able to purchase 180 doughnuts from Krispy Kreme as part of a fundraising package that they offer. We arranged a three hour sale in school charging £1 per doughnut. The event was a huge success and as a result we made a total profit of £181. We know the extensive care that Compton Hospice offer and hold the charity close to our own heart."
